Saudi Pak “Winning Strokes”Creating Possibilities in the Spirit of the Game

January 31, 2006: A glittering and star-studded event, entitled “Winning Strokes, Creating Possibilities in the Spirit of the Game”, was organized by the Saudi Pak Bank at a local hotel on Monday. The evening was organized in support of Mr. Shyam Bhatia’s book “Portraits of the Game”. Mr. Shaharyar M. Khan, Chairman PCB was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

Mr. Bhatiya, a Dubai based businessmen and avid cricket enthusiast has compiled watercolor portraits of 60 international cricketers by South African artist Richie Ryall. The Saudi Pak Bank has purchased a number of copies of Mr. Bhatiya’s book, with the proceeds of the sale to be donated for the development of underprivileged cricketers at the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy in Karachi.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mansoor M. Khan, President and CEO of Saudi Pak Bank said that Saudi Pak Bank is proud to be associated with Mr. Bhatiya’s initiative and his efforts are in conjunction with the Bank’s continuous policy of supporting worthy causes in Health, Education and Sports with a focus on the underprivileged segments of society.

The event was attended by the Manager of the Indian Cricket Team, Mr. Raj Singh Dungarpur and a number of past and present Test stars like Zaheer Abbas, Dean Jones, Moin Khan, Rashid Latif, Sikandar Bakht, Abdul Razzak, Younis Khan and Shahid Afridi. Various leaders of the corporate world and the senior management of Saudi Pak Bank were also in attendance on the occasion.
